Entrance: Colours of Day

Colours of day dawn into the mind
The sun has come up, the night is behind
Go down in the city, into the street
And let’s give the message to the people we meet

So light up the fire and let the flame burn
Open the door, let Jesus return
Take seeds of his Spirit, let the fruit grow
Tell the people of Jesus, let his love show.

Go through the park, on into the town;
The sun still shines on, it never goes down,
The light of the world is risen again;
The people of darkness are needing a friend.

Responsorial Psalm

Here I Am Lord

I the Lord of sea and sky I have heard my people cry,
All who dwell in dark and sin My hand will save.
I who made the stars of night I will make their darkness bright
Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?

Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord? I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart.

I the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people’s pain,
I have wept for love of them They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my Word to them. Whom shall I send?

I the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them, My hand will save
Finest bread I will provide Till their hearts be satisfied
I will give my life to them Whom shall I Send?

Gospel Acclamation:

Final Hymn

City of God
Awake from your slumber! Arise from your sleep!
A new day is dawning for all those who weep
The people in darkness, have seen a great light,
The Lord of our longing, Has conquered the night.

Let us build the city of God,
May our tears be turned into dancing!
For the Lord, our light and our love,
Has turned the night into day!

We are sons of the morning; We are daughters of day;
The One who has loved us Has brightened our way.
The Lord of all kindness has called us to be
A light for his people, to set their hearts free.
